Fusion Welding Process Planner for tungsten inert gas (TIG) or gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) helps process planners improve their skills and competencies in the aerospace workforce. Topics include an introduction to gas tungsten arc welding, contract review, welder qualification, quality systems, acceptance criteria, process control, and compliance. Also included are an introduction to basic metallurgy, several nondestructive testing methods, other weld processes, and drawing symbols.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
- Explain the main requirements for manufacture of parts using GTAW.
- Demonstrate compliance with approved documentation and customer requirements.
- Describe associated control requirements.
- Clarify the intent and interpretation of controlling specifications.
- Explain how fusion welding works and describe how it is affected by its environment.
