Pyrometry II: Aerospace Pyrometry AMS2750™ is a new course based upon Introduction to Pyrometry and is designed to explain the pyrometry requirements for aerospace heat treatment according to the AMS2750 standard. This course presents an overview of pyrometry in heat treatment and then covers the detailed requirements for temperature sensors, instrumentation, instrument calibration, furnace classification, system accuracy tests (SATs), and temperature uniformity surveys (TUSs). The course concludes with a review of quality assurance requirements and information on common nonconformance reports (NCRs).
Pyrometry II: Aerospace Pyrometry AMS2750™ is a revised and expanded offering with the duration increased from 2 to 3 days. Discussions, activities, and interactive knowledge checks have been added to foster engagement and guide participant learning. The 2-day Introduction to Pyrometry course will continue to be available as we transition translated versions to the 3-day course. Read More.
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
• Explain the intent and interpretation of the SAE AMS2750™ pyrometry standard for aerospace heat treatment.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of pyrometric controls essential for heat treatment processes.
• Discuss the application of pyrometric controls within an aerospace heat treatment facility.
Note: Participants should bring a copy of AMS2750 to the class session for reference.
Any person who has a foundational knowledge of pyrometry, especially those responsible for managing or testing heat treatment equipment, will benefit from this course.
