Our History

1990

01
The Performance Review Institute (PRI) was set up in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. PRI administers Nadcap – the aerospace critical process, product and systems accreditation program. Nadcap has since become recognized as a key part of the aerospace procurement and risk mitigation activity.

1995

02
Nadcap was followed by PRI Registrar, an ANAB accredited management systems registrar which provides international third-party certifications to standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 14001, among others.

1996

03
PRI published the first of three QPLs (Qualified Products Listings) and went on to introduce QPLs covering aerospace, and ground vehicle brake lining and gear lubricant.

2003

As Nadcap grew internationally, we established offices in London, UK to serve Europe and in Beijing, China and Aichi, Japan serving the Asia-Pacific region to improve our customer service, breaking through both language and time zone barriers.

2007

In response to customer demand, we established a training program to provide dedicated Nadcap, critical process and quality training. PRI Qualification, a collaborative manufacturing process personnel qualification program began the same year.

2012

06
PRI was approached by the medical device manufacturing industry to develop a critical process accreditation program modelled on Nadcap. MedAccred was established and quickly grew to acknowledged as an important supply chain oversight tool. The TPG program began in the same year, serving the transportation and power generation industries.

2015

With counterfeit parts becoming of increasing concern to the aerospace industry, PRI set up CAAP, the Counterfeit Avoidance Accreditation Program, to enable companies to demonstrate their commitment and robust systems to address this risk.
