Nonconventional Machining Nadcap Style covers the fundamentals of nonconventional machining (NMSE) as defined by Nadcap. Each method is described in technical detail: electrochemical machining (ECM), electrochemical grinding (ECG), electrical discharge machining (EDM), laser beam machining (LBM), laser part marking (LPM), spark erosion grinding (SEG), and abrasive water jet machining (AWJM). Also covered are the NMSE Task Group, surface evaluation, the significant parameter matrix, the audit process, and common nonconformances.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
- Describe each method of nonconventional machining.
- Explain how to perform surface evaluation.
- Explain the significant parameter matrix.
- Describe the audit process.
- Describe common nonconformances.
Who Should Attend
Any person seeking initial accreditation for nonconventional machining, or who wants to expand to a new method or understand a nonconventional machining audit, will benefit from this course.
