Aerospace Coatings Applicator Specialist (ACAS) Program
Personnel Qualifications for Painters and Sprayers
The ACAS program provides industry approved personnel qualifications for individuals who paint and spray aircraft or aircraft parts. It provides industry with a robust means of demonstrating personnel competency and the ability to access certified personnel, and for professional painters the opportunity to obtain external recognition of their expertize and skills.
The PRI Qualification Coatings Applicator Review Board operates the official Oversight Committee for the ACAS program, in accordance with SAE AS7489TM (Standard Requirements for Aerospace Organic Coatings Applicator Certification). The ACAS program certifies personnel applying liquid organic coatings to interior structural or exterior substrates on aircraft.
