Amfin’s Acid Etch Operator training is a comprehensive introduction to the etching of nickel-based alloys, steels and titanium alloys prior to etch inspection. The training consists of part classroom-based sessions to introduce the theory of etching and part practical sessions in Amfin’s Nadcap-approved processing facility. With its mix of theoretical and practical work, this training offers attendees the unique opportunity to put the learnings into practice and thereby develop a deeper understanding of the etching process and all it entails. During the two-day training, attendees will learn about the theory of etching the different metals, the hazards associated with etching processes, part set-up, and the processing parameters such as time and temperature and their effect on the etching process.
