SAE International Announces Leadership Transition
WARRENDALE, PA., (August 8, 2025) – After careful consideration, the Board of Directors of SAE International today announced a change in leadership, confirming that Dr. Jacqueline El-Sayed has departed from her role as Chief Executive Officer.
"While this decision was not made lightly, we are confident it’s the right one to ensure the continued strength and stability of SAE International as we navigate the complex and rapidly evolving mobility landscape," said Carla Bailo, SAE International’s Compensation Committee Chair and past Board President. "We’re committed to identifying a leader who deeply understands the challenges and opportunities facing our organization and our members – a leader who can drive change, while inspiring and empowering our people to collaborate, innovate and propel the industry forward."
Dr. El-Sayed’s final day with the organization was Thursday, August 7. SAE International extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. El-Sayed for her contributions to the organization and wishes her every success in her future endeavors.
The Board of Directors is in the process of determining interim leadership and will share additional details as soon as they are available.
