The MedAccred® program will play a key role in an upcoming International Irradiation Association (iia) webinar focused on the future of radiation sterilization and global supplier oversight. Titled:  A New Era of Sterility Assurance – A Paradigm Shift for Radiation Sterilization and Global Supplier Oversight, the webinar will explore how evolving regulatory expectations, technological advancements, and sustainability goals are reshaping radiation sterilization across the global supply chain.  

Scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the one-hour session will run from 3:00–4:00 pm GMT (4:00 pm CET, 10:00 am EST, 7:00 am PST) and will discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in sterility assurance.  

The MedAccred Program’s Evolving Role in a Connected World 

During the webinar, the MedAccred team will share insights into its expanding role in global supplier oversight, highlighting how the program continues to support quality, compliance, and sustainability across an increasingly connected supply chain. The session will also address regulatory support and alignment, including perspectives from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Notified Bodies, helping suppliers and manufacturers better understand expectations and navigate compliance requirements in a changing regulatory landscape.  

Kimberly Patton, Sterilization Technologies Lead Engineer/Auditor at MedAccred, will discuss technical and regulatory considerations shaping radiation sterilization today, including alignment with evolving regulatory expectations and collaboration with authorities such as the FDA and Notified Bodies. 

Justin McCabe, Operations and Business Development Manager at MedAccred, will provide an overview of the MedAccred program’s tiered subscription model, strategies for engaging with the program, and how organizations can participate effectively to strengthen supplier oversight and confidence throughout the supply chain. 

Together, their perspectives will illustrate how the MedAccred program is helping industry navigate compliance, quality, and sustainability challenges while fostering greater transparency and consistency worldwide. 

Practical Insights and Industry Collaboration 

Beyond regulatory updates, the webinar will provide practical guidance for organizations seeking to integrate sustainability considerations while maintaining robust quality systems. Discussions will emphasize how collaboration across the supply chain can support consistent sterility assurance outcomes worldwide.  

The program will conclude with an update from the Sterilization Industry Roundtable held in Washington, DC, November 20th, 2025, followed by a live question-and-answer session, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with subject matter experts.
