Introduction to Pyrometry is designed to explain the pyrometry requirements for heat treatment in aerospace based on AMS2750. This covers the detailed requirements for temperature sensors, instrumentation and instrument calibrations, furnace classifications, system accuracy tests, and temperature uniformity surveys.


Learning Objectives  

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of pyrometric controls applicable to heat treatment.  
  • Discuss the application of pyrometric controls within the typical heat treatment facility.  
  • Explain the intent and interpretation of AMS2750.  

Note: Participants should bring a copy of AMS2750 to the class session for reference.
