Heat Treatment of Stainless Steels is one of a series of courses giving underlying knowledge for heat treatment. This course extends earlier general courses on basic metallurgy, heat treatment, and alloy steels to the special issues of stainless and precipitation hardening steels. Topics include stainless steel basics, common alloys, stainless steel treatments, and special considerations including Nadcap requirements.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
- Explain the fundamentals of stainless steels and common alloys.
- Describe heat treatments of stainless and precipitation hardening steels.
- Discuss Nadcap requirements for heat treatment of stainless steels.
Who Should Attend
Any person who is actively involved with or associated with stainless steels will benefit from this course. Participants must have knowledge of Basic Metallurgy of Heat Treatments, Basic Heat Treatment, and Heat Treatment of Alloy Steels.
