Heat Treatment Process Owner helps process owners improve skills and competencies in the aerospace workforce. Topics include a summary of heat treatment metallurgy and practices, interpretation of specifications, procedures and inspection, operator and planner approvals, and errors and corrective actions. It also includes optional modules giving more detailed information on diffusion processes and brazing. 

Learning Objectives  

By the end of this training, you will be able to: 

  • Interpret relevant specifications.  
  • Review and approve process definitions.  
  • Review and approve procedures. 
  • Qualify operators and planners. 
  • Resolve and avoid common problems in heat treatment.  

Who Should Attend 

Process owners responsible for writing, reviewing, and approving processes, procedures, and qualifications of lower levels, and designing processes and resolving issues among other levels, will benefit from this course. Participants must have prior knowledge equivalent to the HT Process Owner and Introduction to Pyrometry courses
