An Etch Operator is a qualified chemical processing technician who performs routine etching and etch-inspection operations using approved procedures. The Operator possesses foundational technical knowledge, practical process skills, safety awareness, and sufficient experience to consistently process, inspect, document, and evaluate parts while complying with customer, quality, and industry requirements. An Etch Operator performs and supports chemical processing operations. The operator is responsible for following approved procedures and work instructions, preparing parts for processing, operating equipment, verifying process parameters, performing inspections, and documenting results in accordance with customer, company, and industry requirements.
