PRI Qualification Impartiality Policy
The purpose of this policy is to describe how Performance Review Institute (PRI) Qualifications and training ensures independence, impartiality, and transparency in all its activities. PRI Qualification understands the importance of impartiality and considering potential conflicts of interest in carrying out qualification activities. PRI Qualification seeks to adhere to policies and procedures that uphold the integrity of the program to provide unbiased services. All PRI Staff, its Independent Contractors, Management Council and Panel / Review Board Members shall maintain proprietary or confidential information with which they become familiar as a result of their participation in the program. PRI staff, contractors, and associated industry participants shall commit to the following policies:
- Act impartially in relation to its applicants, candidates, and certified persons.
- Identify and review threats to impartiality on an ongoing basis, including threats from activities, related bodies, relationships, or personnel.
- Follow procedures and policies to ensure impartiality in carrying out certification activities.
- Not restrict certification on the grounds of undue financial or other limiting conditions, such as membership of an association or group.
- Not discriminate candidates based on race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, or any other status prohibited by applicable law.
- Be responsible for the impartiality of its certifications and not permit commercial, financial, or other pressures to comprise impartiality.
- Not require candidates to complete training provided by PRI Training or any other Approved Training Provider to obtain qualification, nor suggest that certification would be simpler, easier, or less expensive if PRI Training services or any other Approved Training Provider were used.
- Advantages on assessment are not given to candidates who have used the PRI Training service.
- Act in an impartial manner without interference or influence by other interests or parties in relation to activities including, but not limited to:
- Candidate applications
- Assessment
- Appeals
- Complaints
- Qualifying candidates
- Disclose of any potential conflicts of interest and shall not partake in any situation that would jeopardize impartiality.
Within PRI Qualification, operating procedures are developed and followed to comply with impartiality requirements. These procedures are publicly available on www.eAuditNet.com. The PRI Qualification Management Council acts to fairly represent the interests of all parties involved in the development, delivery, evaluation, and qualification of candidates. Threats to impartiality and mitigation efforts to reduce or minimize impartiality are reviewed and approved by the PRI Qualification Management Council. Conflict of Interest and Antitrust statements are provided to and regularly reviewed with associated participants and are further covered through contractually binding agreements to ensure qualification activities are carried out in an independent manner. To ensure that this commitment is backed up by positive actions, we maintain a Management System in accordance with ISO 17024 international standards. We review and improve the effectiveness of this system on a continual basis.
