We are proud to share the announcement of Jay Solomond, EVP and COO of the Performance Review Institute (PRI), as Interim CEO of SAE International. As affiliates, PRI and SAE International work closely together to advance global standards and accreditation in shared industries. In this role, Jay will provide steady leadership and continuity while advancing SAE’s mission globally, all while continuing to serve as COO and EVP of PRI to maintain momentum across our program’s strategic initiatives. 

In a video message to staff, Jay reflected on his nearly 30-year connection to SAE, from his early career at Chrysler to contributing to standards, attending events, and presenting at conferences. He described the affiliate ecosystem through the lens of Plan–Do–Check–Act, with SAE-ITC as the “Plan” SAE as the “Do” PRI as the “Check and Act,” and Shared Services enabling the entire cycle “from ideation to creation to validation.” Looking ahead, Jay emphasized his 3P strategy approach: People, Products, and Processes - as a guide for strengthening culture, evolving programs, and improving the way we work across all affiliates.
